Stephen King by Jeremy Allen
Stephen Edwin King is an American author of horror, supernatural fiction, suspense, science fiction, and fantasy. His books have sold more than 350 million copies, many of which have been adapted into feature films, miniseries, television series, and comic books.
While thumbing through a magazine I was hit with the most capturing photo I’’ve ever seen of Stephen. There was no doubt that this photo was begging me to create my own twist on it. So I got to work starting with the eyes. As I completed his eyes, I felt like he was being pulled out of a blank sheet of paper, eyes first. His glasses and jaw line are by far my favorite parts of this drawing to render. I knew if I didn't get it right, he might come after me with a 2x4 or sledge hammer. Thank God it hasn’’t happened! Yet… My one regret for this drawing was not taking progressive photos of how this drawing came to be.
This is an original drawing by Jeremy Allen. All pieces are done on acid free, medium-weight (70 lb.) drawing paper and finished with Sanford Prismacolor fixative spray to protect against UV light and smudging.
Drawing is 14 inches wide by 17 inches height and have a 1 inch hand drawn boarder.
Artwork ships directly from the Delightful Drawings Studio in a rigid tube mailer for protection.
